About
Samuel H. Pond is a managing partner and Pennsylvania workers’ compensation lawyer who represents injured workers and disabled clients. His practice focuses on workplace injury claims, disability-related matters, and disputes involving employers, insurers, and benefit systems. He has built his career around advocating for vulnerable workers, including union members, and helping clients pursue benefits after serious accidents, illnesses, and job-related injuries.
Mr. Pond earned his J.D. from Temple University School of Law in 1984. He graduated from Drexel University in 1981 with a finance degree. His academic background, combined with early work experience in union jobs, gave him a practical understanding of workplace issues, economic pressure, and legal problem-solving. This foundation supports his ability to evaluate claims, explain complex benefits issues, and guide injured clients through difficult legal processes.
Mr. Pond has more than 40 years of experience and has tried thousands of workers’ compensation cases to decision. His work includes claims involving Legionnaire’s disease, strokes, cardiac conditions, fatal incidents, and COVID-related workplace cases. He has also handled numerous expert and trial depositions and has resolved significant workers’ compensation matters, including settlements exceeding one million dollars.
Samuel H. Pond has held leadership roles in several legal and workers’ rights organizations, including the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, and the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation section. He received the Justice Michael A. Musmanno Award in 2023 and the association’s President’s Award in 2002. His work reflects long-standing advocacy for injured workers, disabled clients, and fair access to legal protections.
