About

Samuel E. Ledbetter is an Arkansas environmental law and litigation attorney who represents individuals, communities, environmental organizations, and companies. His work includes air pollution, surface water pollution, groundwater pollution, river protection, downstream property damage, and challenges to permits for facilities that may harm the environment. His education built skills in legal research, writing, advocacy, and public policy. He applies that training to environmental disputes by reviewing records, explaining legal options, preparing evidence, and helping clients understand the steps needed to protect property, communities, and natural resources.

Samuel has practiced environmental law since 1985 and has served as a partner at McMath Woods P.A. since 1998. His career also includes work as a law clerk for Judge Jim Cooper of the Arkansas Court of Appeals. He has served on the Arkansas Supreme Court Committee on Civil Jury Instructions and chaired the Environmental Law Section of the Arkansas Bar Association, strengthening his civil litigation experience statewide for clients.

Samuel E. Ledbetter is admitted to the Arkansas Bar, the federal courts in Arkansas, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. His honors include Best Lawyers in America, Mid-South Super Lawyers, Legal Elite by Arkansas Money & Politics, and an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
