About
S. Stacy Mogul is a Philadelphia attorney who focuses on estate probate, estate administration, estate planning, and personal injury. A lifelong Philadelphian, he has limited his practice to these areas since 1983. He advises personal representatives, executors, administrators, trustees, and beneficiaries in probate matters ranging from routine administrations to complex disputes. He also represents people injured through the wrongdoing of others and assists out-of-state clients with Pennsylvania estates.
Mogul earned his J.D. from Widener University’s Delaware School of Law in 1981, where he was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society. He received a B.A. in political science and American studies from Skidmore College in 1978, graduating with high academic honors. His legal career began with two judicial clerkships in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County, providing valuable experience with court procedures and complex legal issues.
Mogul’s probate experience includes appearances before Registers of Wills and Orphans’ Courts throughout Pennsylvania. In personal injury matters, Mogul has helped obtain multimillion-dollar jury verdicts and settlements, including a major verdict in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. He has also served as a mediator at the request of other attorneys and as a court-appointed arbitrator in complex injury disputes, including matters in Philadelphia’s compulsory arbitration program.
S. Stacy Mogul brings particular insight to wrongful death and survival actions because his work spans both personal injury and estate probate. He also assists with estate administration in mass tort litigation for personal representatives referred by national, out-of-state law firms. Beyond client representation, he provides pro bono legal assistance, mentors minority-owned businesses, and advises community organizations on environmental preservation. His service reflects a practical, community-focused approach to complex legal matters.
