S. Matthew Torres

Matthew earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of San Diego in 1995, followed by a Bachelor of Science from the University of New Mexico in 1997. In 2001, he received his Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law. That same year, he was admitted to the New Mexico Bar, later gaining admission to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico in 2003. His educational background and professional training prepared him for the demands of complex litigation.

Matthew began his career at David G. Crum & Associates before moving to the Carter Law Firm, where he gained experience in family and criminal law. In 2008, he joined the Trujillo Dodd, Torres, O’Brien & Sanchez, L.L.C. as a partner, continuing to build a practice known for compassionate counsel and strong courtroom advocacy. He has also been a member of both the New Mexico Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association.
