Ryan Zehl

Ryan Zehl is a nationally recognized personal injury trial lawyer and the founding attorney of Zehl & Associates Injury & Accident Lawyers. Based in Houston, Texas, Ryan has built a reputation for securing the largest verdicts and settlements in history on behalf of clients who have suffered catastrophic injuries, severe burns, or wrongful death due to accidents across Texas and the United States. His courtroom results have drawn national media attention and established him as one of the country’s most successful and respected trial lawyers.

Ryan earned his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and his J.D., magna cum laude, from South Texas College of Law. While in law school, he served on the South Texas Law Review, won the national Judge Evan A. Evans Moot Court Competition, and earned top honors in Evidence, Criminal Procedure, and Remedies.

After graduating in the top 5% of his class, Ryan clerked for Justice Scott Brister of the Texas Supreme Court, then joined Gardere’s litigation and appellate practice. There, he rapidly proved himself as a strong litigator in complex personal injury and commercial cases before founding Zehl & Associates Injury & Accident Lawyers.

Under Ryan’s leadership, the firm has achieved the #1 largest verdicts and settlements in numerous categories, including oilfield accidents, truck crashes, and corporate negligence cases. His results include the largest oilfield accident settlement and burn injury settlement in U.S. history, as well as historic verdicts against major companies like Greyhound and Oakley Trucking.

Ryan Zehl is admitted to practice in Texas, Pennsylvania, multiple U.S. District Courts, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. He is a lifetime member of the Million and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forums and has served on the Houston Trial Lawyers Association board.
