Ryan J. Cassidy

Ryan J. Cassidy is a Philadelphia labor and employment lawyer who represents management in the public and private sectors. He advises private companies and more than one hundred government and quasi-governmental entities. His practice covers labor negotiations, collective bargaining, labor arbitration, employment litigation, administrative agency charges, and daily workplace counseling. He helps employers address complex workforce issues while managing legal risks and operational needs.

Ryan earned a B.A. from Rutgers University in 1993. He received his Juris Doctor from Widener University Commonwealth Law School in Harrisburg in 1996, graduating with honors. During law school, he served as executive managing editor of the law review. He also created and managed an annual survey examining developments in Pennsylvania administrative law.

Ryan represents employers in grievance and interest arbitration, labor injunction proceedings, and collective bargaining matters. He also handles employment disputes in state and federal courts, administrative agency charges, and hearings before local agencies. Earlier in his career, he served as a judicial law clerk to the late Honorable Joseph T. Doyle of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, gaining valuable insight into judicial analysis and appellate procedure.

Ryan J. Cassidy has held several senior leadership positions, including chairing a litigation division, labor and employment practice, and compensation committee. He also serves on an executive committee and board of directors. The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania appointed him to a six-year term on its Disciplinary Board. He has also been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America for labor and employment litigation and was named among Pennsylvania’s Top 50 Lawyers Under 40.
