Ryan A. Stuart

Ryan A. Stuart is a member of Jermain, Dunnagan & Owens, P.C. in Anchorage. His practice focuses primarily on labor and employment law, supported by a background in municipal law and civil litigation. Ryan earned a J.D. from the University of Colorado School in 2005 and a B.A. from Montana State University in 2002. After law school, he served as a law clerk for the Alaska State District Court in Anchorage. He later served as a deputy magistrate for the Second Judicial District and as judicial law clerk to Judge Ben J. Esch of the Alaska Superior Court in Nome. Before joining the firm in 2020, Ryan worked as an assistant municipal attorney with the Municipality of Anchorage and handled a wide range of civil matters. Ryan A. Stuart is admitted in Alaska and before the US District Court for the District of Alaska and the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He serves on the board of directors and executive committee of the Alaska SeaLife Center and is a former board chair. Ryan’s practice combines employment counseling with substantial civil and municipal experience, helping clients evaluate workplace issues, litigation exposure, and legal obligations with careful attention to both law and operational realities.
