Russell earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown in 2014. He obtained a Paralegal Certificate from Saint Francis University in 2015 to strengthen his legal foundation. Pursuing his goal of becoming an attorney, he graduated with a J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2019. While in law school, he worked in the Civil Rights Clinic, assisting with expungements and pardons.
