Russell earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown in 2014. He obtained a Paralegal Certificate from Saint Francis University in 2015 to strengthen his legal foundation. Pursuing his goal of becoming an attorney, he graduated with a J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2019. While in law school, he worked in the Civil Rights Clinic, assisting with expungements and pardons. In 2018, he was awarded a Summer Fellowship with the Allegheny County Bar Foundation’s Pro Bono Center, where he provided legal aid to individuals in need.

After graduating from law school, Russell Turner launched his legal career at Very Law PLLC, gaining hands-on experience as a litigator. In 2021, he joined Neighborhood Legal Services, where he has focused his practice on Social Security Disability Law. Russell represents low-income clients in SSDI and SSI claims, guiding them through every stage of the disability benefits process.
