Ross C. Nigro, Jr, is recognized as one of Kansas City’s most respected criminal defense attorneys. Ross earned his undergraduate degrees in Political Science and History from the University of Kansas. He later received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law. After graduating, he served as a law clerk for the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit of Missouri and began gaining courtroom experience early in his career.
Ross went on to serve as an Assistant Jackson County Counselor, focusing on county prosecutions and civil rights cases. Since 1997, he has practiced privately, concentrating on criminal defense. With over seventeen years of prosecutorial experience, his background provides him with valuable insight into the legal process from both sides of the courtroom.
Ross has held the position of Raytown Prosecuting Attorney since 2001. He has also been active with the University of Missouri–Kansas City, serving as Secretary of the Law Alumni Association Board. From 2006 to 2009, he led as President of the Missouri Municipal and Associate Circuit Prosecutors’ Association.
