Roscoe Mutz

Roscoe Mutz is a civil rights lawyer and partner at Farhang & Medcoff, whose practice covers commercial disputes, construction law, employment matters, real estate disputes, and regulatory compliance. He represents contractors, subcontractors, property owners, employers, and employees in litigation and arbitration. His work includes wage and hour issues, discrimination and retaliation claims, restrictive covenants, and matters involving the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act. He serves as a mediator or arbitrator in employment, construction, and general civil disputes.

Roscoe earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School. He participated on the Boston College Mock Trial National Team and won the school’s mock trial competition. He received his B.S., summa cum laude, from Washburn University. His undergraduate accomplishments included membership in Phi Kappa Phi and Kappa Mu Epsilon, a mathematics honor society. He participated on Washburn’s Mock Trial National Team throughout his undergraduate studies.

His construction work includes litigation, arbitration, and advisory matters for owners and contractors. He represents employers and employees before state and federal agencies in discrimination and retaliation matters. His employment practice further includes workplace policies, employee handbooks, internal investigations, employment agreements, compliance training, and regulatory advice.

Roscoe Mutz is admitted in Arizona and maintains inactive admission in Massachusetts. His court admissions include the US District Court for Arizona and several Massachusetts federal and state courts. His appellate work has addressed employment discrimination and constitutional issues before the Ninth Circuit and Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
