Robert S. Sunshine

Robert S. Sunshine is a respected divorce and family law attorney serving clients throughout Rockland and Westchester counties. With more than 25 years of legal experience, he is known for handling complex litigation, correcting legal mistakes made in prior cases, and guiding clients through some of the toughest family law challenges. Robert earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in New York. Before law school, he completed his B.A. at Rutgers College in New Jersey. His strong academic foundation helped shape his skills in research, advocacy, and problem-solving—qualities he brings to every case he handles.

Robert began his legal career as an Assistant Corporation Counsel with the Corporation Counsel of the City of New York. He went on to work at several well-known New York litigation firms, including Damashek, Godosky & Gentile, London & Doherty, LLP, and Jones Hirsch Connors & Bull, P.C., where he became a principal. In 2002, he opened The Law Office of Robert S. Sunshine, P.C., focusing on divorce, child custody, support matters, domestic violence, appeals, and post-judgment issues. His courtroom experience includes cases in both state and federal courts, and he has been trusted by clients and attorneys nationwide for his knowledge and judgment.
