About

Robert S. Stephen is the founder of Stephen Law Group PLLC in Manchester and a personal injury attorney licensed in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Since founding the firm in 2004, he has focused on personal injury and motor vehicle accident cases. His practice includes car accidents, medical malpractice, workers compensation, pedestrian injuries, dog bites, and other claims involving serious harm. He draws on earlier insurance defense and corporate legal experience when evaluating liability, damages, insurance issues, and the practical steps needed to pursue compensation for injured clients.

Stephen earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore School of Business and Economics. He graduated summa cum laude and first in his class from Suffolk University Law School, where he received the faculty’s Most Outstanding Student Award. He later earned an M.B.A. from Southern New Hampshire University with a concentration in Human Resource Management. His legal and business education supports analysis of damages, employment effects, insurance questions, medical losses, and the financial consequences that often accompany serious injury claims.

Stephen began his legal career as a federal law clerk to Judge Martin F. Loughlin of the US District Court for the District of New Hampshire. From 1993 through 1997, he litigated personal injury and insurance defense matters at a Manchester firm. He then served as legal counsel and later Director of Client Services for the Northeast Region at ADP TotalSource before establishing his own firm. His representative injury matters include substantial settlements involving medical malpractice, motor vehicle injuries, workers compensation, pedestrian accidents, and other serious claims.

Robert S. Stephen has served in public and community roles including the New Hampshire Real Estate Commission, the Manchester Planning Board, and nonprofit boards. He has also taught and participated in legal education and pro bono programs. His background on the insurance defense side, in corporate legal work, and in plaintiff personal injury practice gives him a broad perspective on claim evaluation. He helps injured clients document losses, understand insurance and litigation issues, and pursue resolution through negotiation or court proceedings when necessary.
