Robert J. Ounjian

Robert J. Ounjian, Esq. is a highly accomplished partner at Carpenter & Zuckerman, where he focuses on personal injury and medical malpractice litigation, including complex birth injury cases. Since joining the firm in 2009, his commitment to justice and client advocacy led to his promotion to Partner in 2013.

Robert has played a vital role in numerous jury trials and arbitrations, achieving remarkable results for his clients. He second-chaired a landmark medical malpractice birth injury case resulting in a $74.525 million verdict and secured a $45 million settlement for a child seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident. His courtroom excellence continues to define his reputation.

Robert earned his Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles in 2000 and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Irvine. This strong academic foundation supports his analytical precision and unwavering dedication to his clients’ causes.

Throughout his tenure, Robert has resolved over 550 cases, recovering more than $450 million for victims of negligence involving medical malpractice, product liability, elder abuse, and motor vehicle accidents. His advocacy is both strategic and compassionate, ensuring each client’s story is heard and justice achieved.

Beyond his practice, Robert J. Ounjian contributes to the legal and local communities through leadership and mentorship.
