Robert Erney

Robert Erney is a seasoned civil trial attorney and founder of Erney Law Co., L.P.A., located in Columbus, Ohio. Since establishing his firm in 1998, he has focused on helping clients navigate personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, insurance disputes, and employment litigation matters in Ohio and federal courts.

Robert earned his Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from Ohio Dominican College in 1975, followed by his Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1984. During law school, he received several awards, including the American Jurisprudence Award in Torts and the Lawrence Maxwell Memorial Prize for Excellence in Appellate Advocacy.

Robert represents injured individuals in all state and federal courts across Ohio, as well as in administrative agencies. His practice includes claims involving premises liability, pharmaceutical liability, and workplace sexual harassment. Known for his ethical standards and practical approach, he sees the law as a service profession focused on resolving real problems and disputes for everyday people.

Robert is deeply involved in the legal community. He served as President of the Columbus Bar Association (2020–2021) and was a founding member of the CBA Trial Advocacy Institute. He is also active in the Ohio State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Ohio Association for Justice. He currently serves as Vice-President of the Franklin County Trial Lawyers Association and holds leadership roles in several other professional committees.

Robert Erney is admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States, multiple federal courts, and all Ohio state courts. With over three decades of legal experience, he continues to advocate for clients with dedication, professionalism, and a belief in the law as a tool for justice.
