Robert E. Hayes Jr. is an experienced attorney practicing in Mississippi and Tennessee, with nearly twenty-five years in Mississippi and more than twenty-three years in Tennessee. He focuses on general civil litigation and criminal defense, representing clients across both states with steady, practical, and results-driven legal guidance.

Robert earned his J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law in 2002. He also holds an M.S. in Education from Mississippi State University – 1996, a B.S. from Mississippi State University – 1992, and an A.A. from Southwest Mississippi Community College – 1990.

Robert has built a broad practice that includes criminal law, personal injury, education law, expungements, forestry law, municipal law, workers’ compensation, and general litigation. He is also been a certified mediator with the Mississippi Bar Association since 2012, helping clients resolve disputes efficiently outside of court when possible.

City of Southaven and Peterson v. Lepard. He has also served as Chief Prosecutor for the City of Southaven from 2007 to 2024.
