Richard O. “Rick” Kopf

Richard O. “Rick” Kopf is a founding partner of Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C., and a Shareholder based in Dallas. He focuses on complex real estate matters involving acquisition, development, financing, leasing, and sales. His practice serves entrepreneurial investors across diverse property types and industries.

Rick earned his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law and his B.S. from Bowling Green State University. He is admitted to practice in Texas. His education provided a strong legal and business foundation that supports his work in sophisticated real estate transactions.

Rick represents clients in acquisition, development, construction, financing, leasing, and sale transactions involving income- and non-income-producing properties. His work emphasizes the lodging and resort industries, including mixed-use projects, hotels, condominiums, and golf course properties, and he guides clients through each phase of complex real estate development.

Rick has extensive experience structuring transactions and preparing, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, management and operating agreements, partnership agreements, leases, and financing documentation. His broad background allows him to anticipate challenges, address opposing counsel’s concerns, and protect client interests throughout every stage of a transaction.

Rick has held key leadership roles within the firm, including head of the Real Estate Section, Vice Chairman, Managing Partner, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer. He also served on the Compensation Committee for more than 15 years and remains active on the Operations Committee.
