Richard B. Alphin

Richard B. Alphin is the managing partner of Lloyd & McDaniel, PLC, where his practice focuses on commercial and retail litigation. He joined the firm in 2003 after two years with the Jefferson County Public Defender’s Office and now represents clients while helping manage the retail collections operation.

Richard earned a B.A. in History from Centre College in 1998 and a law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2001. His education supports his work in litigation, debt collection, client service, and legal management for commercial and retail matters handled by the firm.

Richard concentrates on retail and commercial debt collection and brings prior experience as a criminal defense litigator. His background allows him to handle disputes with care, prepare legal strategies, and support clients through litigation. He works with a broad range of clients in matters tied to creditor rights and collections.

Richard is admitted to practice in the State of Kentucky, where he has been admitted since 2001. His professional work includes litigation, retail collections, and commercial collection matters. He also helps market and manage the retail collections operation at Lloyd & McDaniel, PLC as part of his leadership role.

Richard is active in professional organizations related to the legal and creditor rights fields. His affiliations include the Kentucky Bar Association, Louisville Bar Association, Kentucky Creditors Rights Bar Association, and the National Creditors Bar Association. He has also served in leadership roles with the NCBA, including its Board of Directors.
