Regina A. DeMeo

Regina A. DeMeo is a family law attorney serving clients in the Washington, D.C., and Maryland area. She assists with divorce, separation, child custody, child support, alimony, and property division, as well as prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. She places particular emphasis on mediation and collaborative approaches that may reduce the cost and conflict of family disputes. She works with clients to develop strategies that reflect their priorities and financial circumstances.

Regina earned a B.S. from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in 1994 and a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School in 1998. She completed mediation and collaborative divorce training in 2006, child advocacy training in Maryland in 2011, and parent coordination training in 2025. Her legal and dispute resolution education informs her ability to explain family law options and help clients consider methods beyond contested court proceedings.

Regina has handled family law matters in the D.C. area for more than two decades. Since 2007, she has served as an alternative dispute resolution facilitator for the D.C. Superior Court and Montgomery County Circuit Court. She previously led the Collaborative Divorce Association in Maryland and served as an adjunct professor for the George Washington University Family Justice Center from 2019 to 2020. She has also provided legal education through television, radio, lectures, and articles.
