About
Randy K. Thigpen is a dedicated real estate lawyer at The law office of Thigpen, Thigpen, Engelthaler & Scott, who has served the people of Alabama for many years. He is a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County and brings a deep understanding of the local community to his practice. Before becoming a lawyer, he spent twelve years with the Florence Police Department, where he served as a Lieutenant. This experience in law enforcement taught him how to handle difficult situations with care and precision. Today, he uses those same skills to help his clients solve legal problems and protect their interests in various business and property matters. His practice focuses on real estate, probate, and mediation.
Mr. Thigpen earned his B.S. in Management and Business Administration from the University of North Alabama. He also holds an M.B.A. from the same university. Furthering his studies, he completed post-graduate work at the University of Alabama and the University of Virginia. Finally, he attended the Birmingham School of Law, where he earned his J.D. degree. These degrees give him a strong understanding of both the law and the business world, which is a major benefit to the people and corporations he represents.
Mr. Thigpen has focused on helping people with real estate, wills, and estates throughout his law career. In 1997, he started a title company to help people safely buy and sell property. He has managed real estate deals ranging from small home sales to massive projects worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
Randy K. Thigpen also helps families plan for the future by creating trusts and managing estates. As a certified mediator, he helps people settle disagreements privately and fairly. By focusing on clear communication and professional service, he ensures that his clients feel supported through every step of their legal journey.
