About

Rachel N. Wetta is a partner at Foulston Siefkin LLP in Wichita, Kansas, with an active litigation and trial practice. Her work includes employment litigation, contract disputes, creditors’ rights, tort claims, and insurance defense. Wetta represents clients in state and federal courts and before regulatory agencies, including the Kansas State Farm Service Agency and Kansas State Board of Nursing. She also uses mediation and other dispute resolution methods when they offer practical alternatives to trial.

Wetta earned her J.D. with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2010, where she served as Note and Comment Editor of the Journal of Gender, Race & Justice and received the Dean’s Award in Federal White Collar Crime. She earned her B.A. in Psychology and Philosophy cum laude from Coe College in 2007. Her education supports a litigation practice requiring detailed research, persuasive writing, and careful evaluation of complex legal disputes.

Wetta has led and assisted with jury and bench trials in both state and federal court and has argued before the Kansas Supreme Court, Kansas Court of Appeals, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Her representative work includes employment and insurance disputes, contract and fraud claims, professional licensing matters, and appellate proceedings. She has also represented clients in arbitration and regulatory hearings, helping businesses and professionals address litigation risks and contested administrative issues.

Rachel N. Wetta has been selected for The Best Lawyers in America in litigation and insurance-related categories and was named a Benchmark Litigation “Litigation Star” for 2026. She was also selected to the 2026 Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers list. Wetta is active in the Wichita and Kansas bar communities and serves on nonprofit boards, including the Wichita Area Sexual Assault Center and Wichita Art Museum. Her practice combines trial advocacy, appellate experience, and practical dispute resolution.
