Rachael Carrico has devoted more than 25 years to representing victims, vulnerable individuals, and people facing difficult legal challenges. Throughout her legal career, she has worked in several areas of law while maintaining a strong commitment to advocacy and client service. Her experience as a trial attorney has helped her guide clients through complex legal matters with care and practical insight.
Rachael earned her Juris Doctor from WVU College of Law and graduated with the honor of Order of the Barristers. Her legal education provided a strong foundation for courtroom advocacy and public service. The knowledge and skills she developed during her studies prepared her for a career focused on helping individuals navigate important legal issues and protecting the interests of those in need.
Rachael began her legal career as an assistant prosecuting attorney, where she gained valuable courtroom experience early on. She later transitioned into personal injury law and built extensive trial experience representing injured individuals. This work allowed her to advocate for clients seeking justice while developing a thorough understanding of litigation and case preparation.
Rachael later expanded her practice into family law, where she represented children and worked on matters affecting families. Her focus then grew to include legal services for elderly individuals and other protected adults. Rachael is a member of the West Virginia State Bar and serves on the Elder Law, Veterans Law, and Probate Committees. She has also shared her knowledge as a guest speaker at legal seminars covering ethics and the duties and responsibilities of a guardian ad litem. These activities reflect her ongoing involvement in the legal community and dedication to professional development.
