About

Philip E. Miles is a Gadsden attorney with more than 25 years of courtroom experience representing individuals, families, and businesses in Northeast Alabama. His practice ranges from general litigation to personal injury and includes car and other accident claims, workers’ compensation, wrongful termination, Social Security disability, wills and estates, bankruptcy, business formation, fraud, employment discrimination, product injury, and other civil matters requiring practical legal advocacy.

Miles earned a B.S. in Health Care Management from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa in 1987 and later received his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1991. While in law school, he served on the managing editorial board of the Law and Psychology Review. His education and writing experience support a practice that requires legal analysis across injury, employment, business, disability, and other contested matters.

Miles has represented clients in court since 1991 and is admitted in Alabama, the Alabama Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and all three federal district courts in Alabama. He previously served as a Special Assistant State Attorney General and has contributed research and drafting to editions of the Alabama Tort Law Handbook. His practice experience includes both personal injury litigation and a wider range of civil legal problems.

Philip E. Miles combines broad civil litigation experience with a long-standing Gadsden practice. He has also served in professional and community leadership roles, including work with the Alabama Association for Justice and local civic organizations. His varied background allows him to evaluate legal problems that may involve injury, income, employment, business, or disability concerns. He focuses on practical representation and helping clients understand the legal steps available for resolving significant disputes.
