Peter Johnson

Peter Johnson is a partner and certified criminal law specialist at Johnson Erickson Criminal Defense, representing clients charged with crimes ranging from misdemeanors to murder. His practice places particular emphasis on serious felony charges and complex criminal defense law matters. Before entering defense work, he spent more than a decade as a felony prosecutor. That experience gives him insight into criminal investigations, charging decisions, prosecutorial strategies, and weaknesses that can affect the government’s case.

Peter earned a J.D., summa cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law and a B.F.A. from the University of Minnesota Duluth. His legal education prepared him for a career centered on criminal litigation, courtroom advocacy, and detailed case analysis. Peter is licensed to practice in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the US District Court for the District of Minnesota.
