Peter A. Furci

Peter A. Furci is Debevoise’s Presiding Partner and a partner in the tax practice. He previously served as Co-Chair of the Tax Department. His work covers complex tax matters tied to M&A, investment fund formation, general corporate transactions, and coordination with Private Equity, M&A, and Latin America teams and clients.

Peter earned his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University in 1999. He earned his J.D. magna cum laude from New York University School of Law in 1995 and his B.A. cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1992. At NYU, he was a member of the Order of the Coif.

Peter is listed as an Eminent Practitioner for tax by Chambers Global and Chambers USA. The Legal 500 US recognizes him as a Leading Lawyer and includes him in its Hall of Fame. Peter advises on private equity funds, investment management, insurance, financial institutions, real estate, restructuring, project finance, infrastructure, and corporate deal matters.
