About
Paula Vielman-Reeves is a California civil litigation attorney and family lawyer at ADZ Law, LLP, who represents survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Her work focuses on helping clients seek protection, accountability, compensation, and justice outside the criminal court system. She handles civil remedies, restraining orders, sexual assault-related personal injury claims, civil rights and discrimination matters, Title IX concerns, sexual harassment issues, crime victim advocacy, and trial support for attorneys handling sensitive litigation.
Paula earned her J.D. in 2012 from Golden Gate University School of Law, ranking among the top four percent of her class. Her academic record included a Litigation Specialization Certificate and top honors in Criminal Law, Civil Procedure, and Community Property. She also served on Law Review and participated in Mock Trial and Moot Court, developing strong legal writing, oral advocacy, courtroom preparation, and litigation skills before entering public service and civil practice.
Paula began her legal career as a Deputy District Attorney in San Mateo County in 2013, focusing on domestic violence survivors and other crime victims. During that role, she tried more than 20 cases to jury verdicts and conducted hundreds of evidentiary hearings and cross-examinations. This prosecutorial background supports her ability to build strong cases, present difficult evidence, and challenge opposing arguments in complex and sensitive matters.
Paula Vielman-Reeves also serves as a trial consultant and mentor for attorneys seeking support with trial preparation, voir dire, cross-examination, evidence presentation, and courtroom strategy. She has trained attorneys, law enforcement, and students on litigation strategy, domestic violence dynamics, and evidentiary rules. Her professional affiliations include Consumer Attorneys of California, San Mateo County Bar Association, San Mateo County Trial Lawyers Association, and National Crime Victims Bar Association.
