Paula J. Schaefer

Paula J. Schaefer is a partner at Ruppert & Schaefer, P.C., specializing in family law. She has been practicing law in Indiana since 1994. Ms. Schaefer is a Certified Family Law Specialist recognized by the Family Law Certification Board. She also holds certifications in Family Law Mediation and Collaborative Law, enabling her to address family law issues through alternative dispute resolution methods.

Ms. Schaefer’s educational background is rooted in legal studies. She earned her Juris Doctor from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis in 1994. Prior to that, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Legal Administration from Ball State University in 1991 and an Associate of Science in Paralegal/Legal Assistant Studies from Vincennes University in 1989.

Her legal career spans decades, during which she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to helping clients navigate complex family law matters. Early in her career, she gained valuable experience working as a paralegal and law clerk, which strengthened her understanding of legal processes.
