Paul W. Tschetter

Paul W. Tschetter is a partner at Boyce Law Firm LLP in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with a practice spanning construction, business transactions, and commercial litigation. He advises owners, general contractors, design professionals, and subcontractors on construction-related legal concerns. His work also includes land use disputes, creditors’ rights, and matters involving agricultural producers and businesses. He handles both negotiated agreements and contested proceedings.

Paul earned a J.D. and an M.B.A. from the University of South Dakota in 2007. He previously received a B.A. from Bethel College in 2004, graduating with high honors in Finance and Economics and Political Science. At law school, he edited the South Dakota Law Review and received the Joseph N. Spencer III Award for a scholarly article addressing eminent domain and public use.

Paul joined Boyce in 2007 and has represented owners in construction projects totaling more than $500 million in eastern South Dakota. His experience includes negotiating construction agreements, litigating defects and payment claims, and handling mechanics’ liens, zoning disputes, and local ordinances. He also advises lenders on workouts, foreclosures, and collection matters, and has handled business ownership disputes, trials, arbitration, and appellate proceedings.

Paul has served as president of the Young Lawyers Section of the State Bar of South Dakota and has taken part in leadership and nonprofit board activities in Sioux Falls. His law review work and recognition as a Rising Star in construction litigation complement his transactional and courtroom experience. Paul W.
