Paul N. J. Ross

Paul N. J. Ross is the founding lawyer of Idaho Bankruptcy Law, serving clients from offices in Burley and Twin Falls. He helps individuals and business owners throughout Southern Idaho evaluate debt relief options and pursue bankruptcy protection under Chapters 7, 11, 12, and 13. His practice focuses on explaining available remedies, addressing creditor pressure, and guiding clients toward practical strategies for regaining control of difficult financial circumstances.

Ross earned a bachelor’s degree in law and constitutional studies from Utah State University and his J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law. While attending law school, he practiced under a limited license in Oklahoma and gained early experience with bankruptcy matters. His education and practical training provided a strong foundation for analyzing financial problems, understanding bankruptcy procedure, and helping clients make informed decisions about debt, property, repayment plans, and long-term financial recovery.

Ross represents clients in Chapter 7 liquidation, Chapter 13 repayment plans, Chapter 11 and Chapter 12 cases, foreclosure concerns, lien stripping, cramdowns, reaffirmation, redemption, and bankruptcy issues involving community property. He is admitted in Idaho and Utah state courts, the federal bankruptcy and district courts in both states, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. These admissions support his work across a broad range of bankruptcy and debt-related matters.

Paul N. J. Ross has received the Idaho State Bar Commercial and Bankruptcy Law Section Professionalism Award and the Fifth District Denise O’Donnell Day Pro Bono Award. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. He has also served on the Idaho Bankruptcy Court’s local rules committee, including as chair of a Chapter 13 subcommittee.
