Norman Minsky (of Counsel) is a respected Maine attorney whose practice centers on Real Estate and Estate Planning. Norman earned a Bachelor of Science in 1951 from Boston University. He later received his law degree in 1953, also from Boston University. That same year, he was admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of Maine. His education built the foundation for decades of thoughtful legal service.
Norman has remained active in both civic and professional leadership roles throughout his career. He served in the Maine House of Representatives from 1961 to 1964. He was also a member of the Bangor City Council from 1965 to 1971 and served as the mayor of Bangor in 1968.
Norman contributed extensively to legal organizations across the state. He was secretary-treasurer of the Penobscot County Bar Library Association from 1975 to 1985. He also served on the Supreme Judicial Court Advisory Committee on County Law Libraries from 1978 to 1996 and worked on the Maine Title Standards Committee from 1975 to 1994.
Norman has held leadership roles within the Penobscot County Bar Association, serving as its president in 1973. He is a member of the Maine State Bar Association and chaired the Association’s Continuing Legal Education Committee from 1988 to 1991. He is a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers.
