Nathan Richter is an attorney at Bison Law Firm in Yukon, Oklahoma, with more than sixteen years of experience as a trial lawyer. His current personal injury practice covers motor vehicle and trucking collisions, dangerous and defective products, premises liability, slip and fall claims, wrongful death, and insurance bad faith. He has tried cases to verdict in state and federal courts and represents people who have been injured through the negligence or wrongful conduct of others.
Nathan earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology with an emphasis in Genetics from the University of Oklahoma, where he worked with the OU Advanced Center for Genome Technology. He later earned his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2007. Before and during the transition to legal practice, he also served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard, ultimately serving as a Captain and deploying to Afghanistan and New Orleans.
His litigation experience includes hundreds of hearings, depositions, and non-jury trials, appellate work, and a published Oklahoma Supreme Court opinion, Fisch v. Stuart. Nathan is admitted to Oklahoma state courts, all three federal district courts in Oklahoma, and federal bankruptcy courts in the Western and Eastern Districts. His legal background also includes judicial and legislative experience before entering practice, adding perspective on how courts and government institutions operate.
Nathan Richter has served in leadership roles with the Canadian County Bar Association, the Oklahoma Bar Association, and the Robert J. Turner Inn of Court. He has also volunteered for more than a decade with Trinity Legal Clinic and served for years with Youth & Family Services of El Reno. Nathan’s practice combines trial experience, scientific training, military service, and community involvement in representing clients facing serious injuries and insurance-related disputes.
