About
Nathan Metzger is a Chandler, Arizona senior partner and civil defense attorney with nearly 30 years of trial experience. He defends clients in wrongful death, catastrophic injury, professional liability, construction, employment, civil rights, government, and municipal disputes. His practice also includes personal injury litigation, appellate matters, insurance coverage analysis, and bad faith defense. He prepares complex cases for jury trials, arbitrations, mediations, and negotiated resolutions in demanding, high-exposure civil matters.
Metzger earned an honors degree from the University of Texas at Austin’s Plan II Liberal Arts Honors Program in 1993. He received an Academic Fellowship to attend Indiana University School of Law and earned his J.D. in 1996. His academic achievements included Dean’s List recognition, a Liberal Arts Outstanding Achievement Award, and service as an editor for the Journal of Global Legal Studies. His training strengthened research, writing, and advocacy.
Metzger served as law clerk and bailiff to Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Anna Baca in 1998. He gained direct insight into jury procedure and effective civil trial practice through that role. He later founded and managed a defense practice from 2014 through 2025. His casework has involved trucking crashes, gas explosions, construction accidents, defective products, premises liability, nursing home negligence, brain injuries, amputations, paralysis, and serious sexual molestation allegations.
Nathan Metzger has successfully defended numerous matters in Arizona state and federal courts, as well as on several tribal lands. He has represented clients before courts across Maricopa, Mohave, Gila, Cochise, Pima, Pinal, Coconino, Santa Cruz, Yavapai, and Yuma counties. His broad courtroom experience helps him assess evidence, coordinate experts, evaluate exposure, and develop focused defense strategies. His work reflects disciplined preparation, practical judgment, and careful attention to high-stakes claims.
