About
Nathan Hoines is a Great Falls attorney with more than 30 years of Montana practice. His work focuses on criminal defense and civil litigation, and he has represented clients in serious criminal cases, personal injury lawsuits, medical malpractice matters, and contract disputes. He opened Hoines Law Office in Great Falls after law school to build a criminal law practice. Over time, his work expanded to significant civil cases involving injuries and other contested claims.
Nathan graduated from the University of Montana School of Law in 1991. He began private practice shortly after completing his legal education and has spent his career representing clients in Montana. Decades of courtroom work have given him experience with criminal procedure, trial strategy, civil claims, negotiation, and the evaluation of high-stakes disputes. His education and long practice history support representation in cases where clients face serious personal, financial, or liberty-related consequences.
Nathan has handled many criminal and civil cases, including serious criminal matters and three homicide trials. His civil work has included personal injury, medical malpractice, and contract disputes, and he has settled many cases for more than $1 million. His practice therefore covers both defense against criminal charges and civil claims seeking compensation. He brings trial experience to matters that may require extensive factual investigation, expert analysis, negotiation, or courtroom advocacy.
Nathan Hoines is admitted to the Montana State Bar, the Federal District Court for the District of Montana, and the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He is affiliated with the American Bar Association, Montana Trial Lawyers Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and Cascade County Bar Association. His practice reflects a long-term focus on criminal defense and civil litigation for clients confronting serious legal disputes in Montana.
