Nathan A. Bicks is a Memphis attorney whose practice covers government relations, land use planning, white collar and government investigations, healthcare law, municipal law, and commercial litigation. He represents clients before federal, state, and local agencies and boards, with a strong focus on complex matters involving public and private interests.
Nathan earned his B.A., with honors, from Brown University in 1978. He attended New York University School of Law in 1983 and earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1984. His education helped prepare him for litigation, regulatory work, and public-sector legal matters.
Nathan is admitted to practice in Tennessee, the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and several federal district courts. His admissions include the Western District of Tennessee, Middle District of Tennessee, and District of Massachusetts, supporting his work in complex litigation and investigations.
Nathan has extensive experience defending people and companies under federal investigation. His work includes internal investigations, non-prosecution and plea agreements, corporate compliance programs, and trial representation. He also handles healthcare fraud matters, commercial disputes, municipal issues, and land use approvals for major development projects.
Nathan has represented clients in major matters involving solar energy, fiber optic infrastructure, ecommerce fulfillment centers, warehouse development, municipal school districts, opioid litigation, healthcare fraud investigations, and local government policy. He also serves as Town Attorney for the Town of Collierville, one of Tennessee’s fastest-growing municipalities.
