About
Nancy F. Baskin focuses on family law and domestic relations matters. She brings more than thirty-five years of experience to divorce, custody, mediation, collaborative law, and court-based disputes. Her work includes litigation, mediation, conciliation, discovery master appointments, and Guardian ad Litem service. She helps clients understand legal choices, prepare for difficult decisions, and resolve family conflicts with careful strategy, respect, and steady professional judgment throughout each stage of legal representation.
Baskin earned her A.B. from Dartmouth College, graduating cum laude. She earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law. During law school, she served on the editorial staff of the New York University Law Review and later worked as an editor. Her education strengthened her legal research, writing, and analysis, which support her clear advocacy in complex family law matters involving serious personal and financial concerns for clients.
Baskin began her career in commercial real estate at a large Manhattan law firm before shifting exclusively to domestic relations law in 1988. She practiced with respected divorce and family law teams in New York and Boston before opening her own Boston practice in 2001. She is admitted in Massachusetts, New York, and Connecticut, and belongs to the major bar association family law sections while supporting clients through advocacy and planning.
Nancy F. Baskin helps people by guiding them through family changes that affect children, finances, homes, and futures. She serves as a mediator, conciliator, collaborative law attorney, litigator, Discovery Master, and Guardian ad Litem. She also volunteers with the Probate and Family Court Lawyer for the Day program. Her work supports informed decisions, fair resolutions, and practical solutions during stressful family law proceedings with care, skill, and close client attention.
