Nana Knight

Nana Knight is a California attorney, CEO, and founder of Knight Law, who concentrates her practice on criminal defense law, civil litigation, and military law. She is a former prosecutor, senior military officer, law professor, author, and speaker. Her criminal practice includes serious felonies, misdemeanors, domestic violence, gang crimes, homicide, sexual assault, and other charges. She is a California State Bar Board-Certified Specialist in Criminal Law and represents clients throughout the Bay Area in difficult criminal cases.

Nana earned her J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco. She earned her undergraduate degree from UCLA, graduating summa cum laude with college honors. After law school, she served on active duty as a United States Air Force officer, prosecuting complex sexual assault cases and advising senior commanders on military justice and adverse actions. She is admitted in California and multiple federal and military courts.

Nana previously served as a deputy district attorney, prosecuting serious and violent felonies, misdemeanors, homicides, domestic violence cases, and gang crimes. She later handled complex civil litigation for the City of San Jose involving personal injury, police misconduct, excessive force, constitutional claims, employment disputes, discrimination, and contract matters. Her combined prosecutorial, military, and civil experience helps her evaluate evidence, anticipate opposing strategies, and prepare focused defenses for clients in court.

Nana Knight has received several military honors, including the Air Force Meritorious Service Award, Air Force Commendation Medal, and Air Force Achievement Award. She has served on the Monterey County Bar Association Board of Directors and taught Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure as an adjunct professor. She has also published and presented on domestic violence, plea agreements, prosecutorial ethics, and military justice, reflecting sustained professional leadership and public service.
