About
Morgan Hollis is a founder and shareholder of Gottesman & Hollis in Nashua, New Hampshire, with a practice focused on land use, real estate, and business matters. His work includes zoning and planning issues, property tax abatements, commercial real estate transactions, business formation, mergers and acquisitions, and construction contracts. He has practiced law since 1976 and brings extensive experience to matters involving the development, ownership, use, financing, and transfer of property as well as the legal organization and operation of businesses.
Hollis earned a J.D. from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law in 1976 and a B.A. from Middlebury College in 1972. His education provided a foundation for a practice that often requires analysis of land use regulation, municipal process, contracts, business structures, property rights, and transaction documents. That training has been reinforced by decades of work in New Hampshire.
Hollis previously served for two years as a deputy corporation counsel for the City of Nashua before co-founding his firm in 1978. His experience includes representing clients before planning and zoning bodies, handling property tax issues, structuring commercial transactions, forming businesses, advising on acquisitions, and addressing construction agreements. This range connects public regulatory processes with private real estate and business objectives.
Morgan Hollis has received professional recognition for real estate and land use work and has also served in community and organizational leadership roles. He was named Nashua’s Citizen of the Year in 2019. His long practice provides clients with a perspective shaped by municipal, transactional, and business experience when projects or disputes involve property, regulatory approvals, ownership structures, or commercial agreements.
