Mitchell S. Sexner is the founding attorney of Mitchell S. Sexner & Associates LLC, a law firm he established in 1990. With over three decades of experience, he has dedicated his career to protecting the rights of individuals facing criminal and traffic charges and those injured due to negligence. A Northwestern University graduate, Mitchell earned his law degree from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. He began his legal career at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted thousands of cases, handling everything from traffic violations and DUIs to juvenile crimes and serious felonies. Known for his sharp legal acumen, he often supervised and educated other prosecutors while maintaining a high trial success rate. He has also worked for the Illinois Secretary of State and the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court, further deepening his knowledge of the court system and driver’s license regulations.
After leaving the prosecutor’s office, Mitchell opened his law firm in Chicago’s northwest suburbs, later expanding to the city of Chicago to better serve clients across Northern Illinois. Over the past 30 years, he has assembled a highly skilled legal team dedicated to providing exceptional legal services. His firm has successfully handled hundreds of criminal and traffic cases, securing over $25 million in settlements and verdicts for personal injury clients.
