Mitch completed his formal education at respected institutions with a strong academic record. He earned an A.B. (1988) from Harvard University, graduating magna cum laude in Government. He later obtained an M.A. (1994) in Political Science from the University of Michigan before completing his J.D. (1993) at the University of Michigan Law School.

Mitch distinguished himself academically during law school, earning honors including magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, and the Prize for most outstanding first-year performance. He also served as Articles Editor for the Michigan Law Review, reflecting an early commitment to legal research, writing, and analytical excellence within demanding academic environments.

Mitch focuses his legal work on serious injury and liability matters, including automobile, truck, and motorcycle accidents, premises liability, improper security, battery, railroad accidents, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and product liability.
