Michele Fuller Lyerly

Michele Fuller Lyerly is a Partner at Fox Rothschild LLP and serves as Managing Partner of the Greenville office. She sits on the firm’s Executive Committee. She represents developers, investors, and users in complex commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, development, leasing, financing, and sales of major projects.

Michele earned a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina in 1993. She then received her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1997, where she was a member of the Order of the Wig and Robe honors.

Michele focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions. She advises clients on the acquisition of land for large-scale retail, office, and mixed-use developments. She also successfully handles project structuring, complex lease negotiations, and the financing of significant developments across multiple asset classes.

Michele has extensive experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, easements, restrictive covenants, development agreements, management agreements, and ground leases. She also prepares both retail and office leases, ensuring clear terms and strong protections for clients in each transaction with careful attention to detail.

Michele’s practice includes real estate financing, such as traditional acquisition and construction loans, new market tax credit financing, and tax-deferred exchanges. She works closely with clients and lenders to structure deals that meet business goals while managing risk and supporting clients’ long-term project success.

Michele has been recognized in the Chambers Guide for Real Estate in South Carolina from 2013 through 2025. She has been named to the Best Lawyers in America list for Real Estate Law in Greenville, SC, from 2012 through 2026, and was named Lawyer of the Year in 2026.
