Michael Swink

Michael Swink is the founder of the Law Office of Michael Swink PLLC, where he advocates for affordable, high-quality legal representation in criminal and family law. Michael earned his Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law, a school renowned for its focus on social justice and public interest law. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Delaware. During law school, he clerked for the Seventh Judicial District of Maryland and the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. He was also a legal writing instructor, research assistant, and semi-finalist in the prestigious DC Cup Moot Court Competition.

Following graduation, Michael served as a Deputy State Public Defender in El Paso County, Colorado, where he litigated criminal cases daily and defended clients against incarceration. He then transitioned into private practice, handling both criminal and domestic relations matters. His time in both the public and private sectors shaped his belief that financial barriers should not prevent individuals from receiving quality legal support.

Michael Swink is a Colorado-licensed attorney and active member of both the Colorado Bar Association and the Denver Bar Association.
