About

Michael Smallbone is a licensed attorney with more than a decade of experience handling a wide range of immigration matters. His practice centers on providing clear guidance through complex immigration processes, helping individuals and families understand their options while addressing legal challenges with precision, consistency, and a strong command of immigration law.

Michael built his legal foundation through formal education that prepared him for focused work in immigration law. He earned a B.A., Marketing & Management, 2000 from GRIFFITH UNIVERSITY, developing a strong base in business and analysis. He later advanced his legal training at NASHVILLE SCHOOL OF LAW, where he completed his Juris Doctor in 2008, strengthening his legal reasoning and discipline.

Michael began developing practical experience early by working as a Paralegal for an immigration firm in Nashville before and during law school. This hands-on exposure allowed him to learn immigration procedures from the ground up, strengthening his ability to manage filings, deadlines, and detailed legal requirements with accuracy and efficiency.

Michael also brings valuable professional insight from his background outside traditional legal roles. While navigating his own immigration process, he worked in talent management and served as Vice President at Premiere Speakers Bureau. This experience sharpened his organizational skills and reinforced the importance of reliable representation within the immigration system.

Michael contributes to the legal community through education as an Adjunct Professor at Nashville School of Law, where he teaches Immigration Law. In this role, he helps future attorneys understand statutory frameworks, procedural rules, and real-world applications, reflecting his commitment to advancing knowledge and professionalism in the field.

Michael Smallbone remains focused on immigration law and is active within professional organizations, including the Tennessee Bar Association, American Bar Association, and American Immigration Lawyers Association. His work reflects a steady dedication to lawful solutions, informed advocacy, and guiding clients through immigration matters with care, structure, and informed legal judgment.
