Before joining Gentry Locke, Gulland spent nearly 14 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He served as chief legal counsel and supervisory special agent for the FBI’s Norfolk Division and previously held legal and investigative roles in the Chicago Division. His work included advising on operational, cyber, intelligence, ethics, employment, and policy matters; assisting with white-collar and public corruption investigations; defending federal interests in civil claims; and investigating violent gangs and complex criminal organizations.
Michael S. Gulland also brings substantial private-sector litigation experience from law firms in Chicago and Washington, D.C. He has handled False Claims Act disputes, business and contract litigation, products liability cases, employment discrimination claims, insurance coverage matters, securities proceedings, and class actions.
