Michael Marlow

Michael Marlow is a seasoned attorney whose practice centers on civil litigation, including personal injury and education law. He has built a strong reputation representing individuals injured in automobile and truck accidents, as well as cases involving defective products. Michael Marlow also handles disputes involving banks, school districts, and multiple industries.

Michael pursued his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus, in 1983. He later earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 1986, where he served as Lead Articles Editor for the South Dakota Law Review and published legal articles.

Michael began his legal career as a law clerk for South Dakota Supreme Court Justice Robert C. Morgan. This early experience helped him develop a deep understanding of legal reasoning and courtroom procedure, which continues to influence his litigation approach today across both state and federal courts.

Michael has more than 35 years of legal experience and has tried numerous cases throughout his career. He regularly represents clients across South Dakota and nearby states, handling complex matters with a focus on achieving fair outcomes through strong advocacy and detailed case preparation.

Michael is actively involved in professional organizations and has contributed to the legal community through leadership roles. He has served as president of the South Dakota Trial Lawyers Association and remains a long-time member of the American Association for Justice, staying engaged with ongoing legal developments.

Michael has also dedicated time to teaching and public service. He served as an adjunct professor at the University of South Dakota School of Law and frequently speaks at legal education programs. His involvement reflects a commitment to sharing knowledge and supporting the next generation of legal professionals.
