Michael Maggiano

Michael Maggiano is the founder and senior partner of Maggiano, DiGirolamo & Lizzi, where his practice centers on serious personal injury litigation. Based in Fort Lee, he handles motor vehicle collisions, trucking and bus accidents, train wrecks, construction accidents, inadequate security claims, medical malpractice matters, and other catastrophic injury cases. His work includes complex trials and high-value claims in New Jersey, New York, and other jurisdictions.

Maggiano earned a B.S. in Economics from Fairleigh Dickinson University and received his J.D. with Honors from IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law. He graduated with a class rank of 17 out of 160. His legal education was followed by decades of courtroom work involving complex medical and legal issues, evidence, damages, and trial strategy, providing a foundation for handling technically demanding personal injury disputes.

Maggiano has served as trial counsel in major matters, including the Tropicana garage collapse litigation and the In re Amtrak Train Disaster of 2015. His case experience spans motor vehicle crashes, construction disasters, traumatic brain injuries, inadequate security, burn injuries, and other severe harm. He is certified as a civil trial attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey and the National Board of Trial Advocacy.

Michael Maggiano has held leadership roles in the New Jersey Association for Justice and the Melvin M. Belli Society and is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. His recognitions include the NJAJ Gold Medal, the Gerald B. O’Connor Award, and repeated Best Lawyers honors. He continues to lecture on trial advocacy, medical issues, evidence, and litigation techniques while representing injured clients in complex civil cases.
