About

Michael Henry Fate has spent decades guiding clients through business, real estate, estate planning, trust administration, and litigation matters. He built his reputation on careful problem-solving, consistent communication, and a commitment to helping individuals and businesses stay ahead of legal obligations while protecting their interests throughout California.

Michael completed his Juris Doctor at UCLA Law School, a move that brought him to the Los Angeles area and set the foundation for his long legal career. His early training shaped the broad, hands-on experience that now informs his work across transactional matters, courtroom disputes, and strategic client counseling.

Michael began his career in Beverly Hills, where he worked on business, commercial, real estate, family law, personal injury, and general civil litigation. His early cases ranged from high-profile disputes involving celebrities to complex matters requiring TROs, preliminary injunctions, and permanent injunctions, giving him deep exposure to challenging legal issues.

Michael gained significant leadership experience supervising associate attorneys and staff, and later handled contract work and statewide litigation for a publicly traded NASDAQ corporation. He also briefed and argued several reported appellate matters, strengthening his background in advanced litigation and complex legal analysis.

Michael later became a senior litigation associate at a Century City firm, mentoring other attorneys and managing extensive business litigation. His work expanded into insurance matters, offshore insurance company representation, and insurance bad faith cases, further broadening the range of clients and industries he served across Southern California.

Michael eventually established his own solo practice, where he continued representing clients in business, real estate, estate planning, and trust administration. He remained active in professional organizations, including long-term leadership roles within the Culver Marina Bar Association, an accredited MCLE provider known for its notable speakers and respected educational programs.

Michael Fate has earned long-standing recognition, including being a v-rated by Martindale-Hubbell since 1980 and listed in Campbell’s List for Los Angeles County. His decades of practical experience, community involvement, and commitment to proactive legal service continue to support clients seeking reliable guidance and dedicated advocacy.
