Michael Broumas

Michael Broumas, Esq., is the owner of Broumas Law Group, LLC, with more than 30 years of experience in bankruptcy law. He began his legal career on Wall Street, building strong skills in complex financial matters. His long practice focuses on guiding individuals and businesses through difficult financial challenges.

Michael earned his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from the University of Utah. He completed two degrees in two and a half years, reflecting focus, discipline, and academic drive.

Early in his career, Michael represented major financial institutions, including Chrysler Financial, in bankruptcy and litigation matters. His work at a Wall Street law firm involved high-profile cases that provided deep insight into consumer and corporate bankruptcy issues and complex restructuring proceedings across varied industries and nationwide matters.

Over the past two decades, Michael has exclusively owned and operated his own law firm, focusing on all aspects of bankruptcy law. He has represented banks and equipment lessors in numerous Chapter 11 cases, demonstrating versatility and a clear understanding of creditor and debtor interests in complex financial matters.

Michael’s experience also includes serving as a shareholder in bankruptcy sections of law firms, where he represented entities such as the State of Texas in fraud and bankruptcy cases. He is fluent in English, Spanish, German, and French, enabling clear communication with diverse clients across a range of legal matters.
