About
Meredith Hill is the founder and principal attorney of The Hill Law Group in Bethesda, Maryland. She established the practice in 2018 to help individuals and families make informed estate planning decisions. Her work focuses on preparing plans that protect personal assets, support loved ones, and reflect each client’s priorities. She also emphasizes community education, helping people understand why organized estate planning matters during both expected and unexpected life events.
Meredith earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. She later received an LL.M. in Litigation and Dispute Resolution from The George Washington University Law School. Her combination of economics, law, and dispute resolution education supports her work addressing financial and family concerns. She is admitted to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Indiana, and Virginia.
Meredith guides clients through estate planning decisions intended to preserve assets and provide greater clarity about family responsibilities. After observing the problems that can follow inadequate planning, she founded her practice to help families approach these issues earlier. Her work involves listening to clients, identifying concerns, and developing individualized legal arrangements. She also participates in professional and community education about planning for life changes and protecting what people value most.
Meredith Hill serves on the Maryland State Bar Association Board of Governors and as co-chair of the Bar Association of Montgomery County’s Solo and Small-Firm Section. Her recognitions include a 2024 Washingtonian Top Lawyer designation, a 2025 Best Lawyer recognition, and a 2026 Best of Bethesda award. She also belongs to the Estate Planning Council of Montgomery County, combining private client service with involvement in the local legal community.
