Mengqi Zheng

Mengqi Zheng is a seasoned intellectual property attorney with a strong background in patent prosecution, portfolio management, and strategic IP counseling. Since 2018, she has served as in-house counsel for Jupeng Bio, Inc., where she manages the company’s global patent portfolio, drafts and prosecutes U.S. and international applications, and works closely with technical teams to capture and protect innovative developments. Her role also includes conducting freedom-to-operate, patentability, and validity analyses to guide critical business decisions.

Mengqi earned her Juris Doctor from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2018 after completing a Master of Laws from Southern Methodist University in 2014. In addition, Mengqi holds a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor of Automation Science from Beihang University. This unique blend of legal, technical, and financial expertise enables her to provide clients with comprehensive and commercially focused intellectual property strategies.
