Melinda Knowles

Melinda Knowles is a South Carolina attorney whose practice focuses on criminal defense, family law, traffic violations, and CCU student charges. With more than fifteen years of criminal defense experience, she works to protect clients’ rights and reduce the long-term effects of an arrest or charge. Melinda earned her J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. She also attended Coastal Carolina University, where she graduated cum laude with a major in Political Science. Her education gave her a strong foundation in legal research, analysis, and written advocacy. That training continues to support her work in criminal defense and related matters.

Before serving clients in private practice, Melinda worked as an Assistant Public Defender with the Horry County Public Defender’s Office.
