Since becoming a member of the Montana Bar in 2000, Meghan has built a broad and active legal practice. She spent her first years practicing at the Cascade County Public Defender’s Office and later worked in private practice as both a solo attorney and with a firm. She has also served as the Fort Benton City Attorney. Her primary area of focus is criminal defense, where she has represented clients in cases ranging from traffic matters to homicide, while also handling family and injury cases.

Meghan Lulf Sutton has also remained active in the legal and local community. She has served as President of the Cascade County Bar Association and sits on the boards of the Great Falls Children’s Receiving Home and Cascade County Law Clinic. She was part of the team that helped establish Cascade County Drug Treatment Court programs for adults and youth.
